Security Windows

Window screens are an affordable and straightforward way to improve the comfort of your home and keep intruders at bay. Amplimesh® window screens are tested to meet Australian and industry standards. No matter whether you choose SupaScreen®, IntrudaGuard® or PrivacyGuard®, Amplimesh® fixed security window screens measure up to fall prevention standards. With Amplimesh® window screens, you can enjoy fresh air and natural light without compromising safety, ensuring your home’s round-the-clock protection.

Types of window screens

Fixed window screens, the most common and straightforward type of screen, are designed to fit snugly into the window frame and remain in place permanently. Their ease of installation and maintenance make them a popular choice for homeowners. They’re ideal for frequently opened windows, such as double-hung or sliding windows, and their simple design often makes them the most cost-effective option.

Hinged window screens are attached to the window frame with hinges on one side, allowing them to swing open like a door. Hinged window screens have benefits such as easy access when cleaning the screen and the window. Hinged screens are particularly suitable for casement and awning windows. They can be opened without removing the entire screen, which adds convenience to daily use.

Sliding window screens move horizontally along a track, similar to how sliding glass doors operate. This design makes them particularly well-suited for sliding windows, patio doors, and large picture windows with a sliding section. One of the key features of sliding window screens is their ease of operation. Users can slide the screen to the side when access is needed, making them very user-friendly. This design is also space-efficient, as the screens don’t protrude into the room or outside when opened.
