- Make sure your product meets the Australian Standards
Too often I see people try and save a dollar and end up being burnt by purchasing a sub-standard product that doesn’t meet Australian standards and not offering them the security they had intended. By installing an approved screen by a licensed expert you may be entitled to some home insurance premium deductions from your home insurance provider, saving you money in the longer term. - Buy from a reputable business with an honourable warranty
Amplimesh® have been in business for over 50 years and provides its customers with a 16 year SupaScreen® or 10 year IntrudaGuard® warranty backed by Capral Aluminium, Australia’s largest manufacturer and distributor of aluminium products. Your warranty registration can be simply completed on the Amplimesh® website once your installation and payment has been finalised. - Pay for what you need, don’t get caught in the ‘hype’ trap, adhesives or celebrity endorsements, just smart designed products that are built to last.
Typically over-hyped and over-priced security screens promising the world in performance rarely stack up when it comes to basic design principals for the product being an effective barrier in place between you and a potential intruder. SupaScreen® is retained in a heavy duty security door frame without fixings using a patented pressure process which locks the high tensile mesh securely in place then insulates and isolates both metals from coming into contact with each other, preventing galvanic corrosion occurring which could be a potential cause of product failure, this process has won prestigious design awards. No need for extra aluminium snap ins.
WERS stands for the ‘Window Energy Rating Scheme’ which enables windows and Security Screens to be rated and labelled for their annual energy impact on a whole house, in any climate of Australia. WERS is independent of any one manufacturer and is managed by the Australian Window Association (AWA) To participate, Amplimesh® Security Screens obtained energy ratings for their products from a rating organisation accredited by the AFRC (Australian Fenestration Rating Council). Depending on the type of existing glazing at your property, Amplimesh® SupaScreen® security products can achieve up to 4 ½ stars for cooling climates, helping you reduce your homes energy footprint and assisting your home to stay cooler in summer.
Get a quoteYes, Knife Shear test AS 5041-2003 involves a panel of mesh being subjected to three repeated attempts, in a constant directional force to cut through it using a specifically selected knife using a special machine to ensure consistency. Amplimesh® SupaScreen®, IntrudaGuard® and PrivacyGuard® security screens pass this test with flying colours.
Get a quoteA triple lock is your security door lock which locks your door in 3 points with a one flick operation. It provides additional support for potential break inns or home invasions and is one of the key components of having a Security Door. Your triple lock comes standard when purchasing one of our Security Doors.
Without a triple lock, it is not a security door.

- The power of attraction
Placing security screens on the property will make the property stand out as a safe and considered option for the potential tenant and their family. Great in university towns, senior living communities and essential for holiday homes. These screens will also act as a property guardian when the property is empty and unmanned. - Retaining tenants
Tenants are more likely to rent longer if they and their possessions feel comfortable and safe in the environment they live, and finding new tenants can be an expensive process. They will thank you also for any potential energy savings they have. - Protect, save and earn
You have worked hard for your investment property so protect your investment with security screens to help prevent potential property damage occurring. Amplimesh® security screens come with a 16 year SupaScreen® or 10 year IntrudaGuard® warranty and your purchase can not only be tax-effective but depending on your level of insurance cover you may be entitled to landlord insurance premium deductions once installation is complete. Let’s face it, saving money is the same as earning money.
Amplimesh® SupaScreen® exclusively uses a fine 0.80mm 316 marine grade stainless steel wire which is of the highest quality and consistency. Compared to a 0.9mm 304 mesh, SupaScreen® is higher in tensile strength at both the commencement and completion of the weaving process. SupaScreen® by Amplimesh® is tested in Australia’s most harshest climates. Whether you want a super strong security screen in the bush or a security screen capable of handling the harsh high salinity environments from directly facing the beach, Amplimesh® security screens will perform exceptionally well and come tested ready to do the job.
Get a quoteIf you have children or you are looking to apply screens to your entire home, we recommend installing a Fire Exit/Escape Screen so you have several potential exit points at your property if you did require them in an emergency. A quick release function on the screen disarms the security screen internally so you can escape through the window. This would be suitable for a children’s bedrooms for example. It is also an extra handy feature if you are trying to access the glass for cleaning purposes.
Get a quoteAmplimesh® SupaScreen® uses 0.80mm high tensile wire, allowing greater visibility and air flow through the product whilst meeting AS5039-2008 & AS5041-2003 as a result of the high-tensile stainless steel.

Get a quoteOne of the key benefits of installing an Amplimesh® security screen is using it as a cooling tool for your home. Open your doors or windows on the front and back of the property to let the air circulate through your home. The technical term is ‘Natural cross flow ventilation’. On average, you can save up to a $1.00 an hour by switching off your air conditioner and cooling your home naturally with fresh air and the aiding use of a ceiling fan, not to mention it is better for you.
You can continue to feel safe inside while you experience the fresh open breeze circulate in your home.

Get a quoteAmplimesh® security screens require very minor maintenance. Simply washing the product with our Organic Security Screen Cleaner or a mild detergent and then rinsing off the soap residue from time to time will keep the product looking fantastic for many years and will keep your warranty valid. Frequency of cleaning is largely dependent on the location of the building. In most circumstances cleaning may be carried out every 3-4 months. Products installed close to more severe conditions such as marine or industrial environments should be cleaned more frequently.
