SupaScreen® Folding Security Doors

SupaScreen®
Folding Doors

Amplimesh® folding screen doors provide maximum strength and durability without obstructing airflow or outdoor views. With flush stainless steel handles and the ability to open in or out, it is no coincidence that architects love and demand our range of SupaScreen® security folding doors.

Folding doors add a touch of accordion class to wider openings such as those leading to decks or patios. Once opened, they can be stacked side by side to maximise available room so you can get the most out of your entertaining areas.

Our folding security screen doors are also available in IntrudaGuard® security mesh and PrivacyGuard® security mesh. If you are unsure which Amplimesh is best for you, you can read this blog to help you decide.

Never gives in but folds when you want it to

Using high tensile 316 marine grade stainless steel, woven into a fine mesh, Amplimesh® SupaScreen® is a modern innovation in security technology.

SupaScreen® security screen doors and window screens are assembled using a patented “pressure fit” mesh retaining system.

This technology prevents the aluminium frame and 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel mesh from coming into contact with each other, resisting galvanic corrosion and increasing the products overall lifespan. Both frame and mesh have a specially engineered corrosion and moisture resistant coating that meets or exceeds Australian standards. This system also eliminates the need for screws, rivets, pins or snap-ins to retain the mesh panel.

We’re so sure of the quality of SupaScreen® security doors and window screens that we cover them with a comprehensive 16 year warranty.

Technical specs

Produced with only the highest quality materials and rigorously tested at our NATA approved facility Amplimesh® SupaScreen® security screens are designed to withstand even the most aggressive would-be intruder, and everything nature can throw at them to boot.

For over 50 years, Amplimesh® security screen doors and windows have been tested in some of Australia’s harshest climactic conditions including surpassing an 8000hrs acetic acid salt spray milestone, an equivalent of over 25 years of usage.

Amplimesh® security screens are assembled into high quality door and window frames using our Amplimesh® patented ‘pressure fit’ mesh retaining system technology. This system prevents the door frame material from coming into contact with the stainless steel or aluminium security screens, thereby resisting galvanic corrosion and increasing the overall lifespan of your security screen product.

The Amplimesh® ‘pressure fit’ system uses no glue and has no visible fixings, giving your door/window a designer look and feel. No screws or clamps penetrate through the face of the security screen mesh, keeping the face of your security screen uncompromised. A dual purpose PVC ‘wrap around’ pressure fit co-extrusion allows for mesh retention and provides the ultimate protection from dissimilar metals coming into contact.

Amplimesh security doors use heavy duty aluminium frames

Once the pieces are assembled, screws hold the frame together, holding the security screen firmly in place.

The Amplimesh patented “pressure fit” mesh retaining system keeps the security mesh tightly in place whilst preventing the door frame and screen from coming into direct contact.

By default, all Amplimesh security screen doors are fitted with a triple locking system, which fastens the door to the frame and three points.

Care & maintenance

The finishes that are applied to Amplimesh® products are of high quality and are extremely durable and weather resistant. Like all fixtures around the home some maintenance is required to preserve the original appearance of the product.

The finishes that are applied to Amplimesh® products are of high quality and are extremely durable and weather resistant. Like all fixtures around the home, maintenance is required to preserve the original appearance of the product.

Surfaces should be kept clean by prompt removal of all dust, dirt, grime and any foreign matter using a soft sponge with clean water and a small amount of mild detergent. Thoroughly wash off any residue of detergent with clean water.

Do not under any circumstances use an abrasive cleaning agent (Ajax or similar) or cleaning material (such as steel wool).

If small scratches occur, they can be buffed out using a good quality car polish.

Frequency of cleaning is largely dependent on the location of the building. In most circumstances, cleaning may be carried out every 3-4 months.

Amplimesh® products installed close to more severe conditions, such as marine or industrial environments, should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks.

To maintain an ultra-clear view through your security screens, we recommend using our Amplimesh® Organic Security Door & Screen Cleaner, available through your local Amplimesh® Dealer.

Warranty information

We’re so sure of the quality of our SupaScreen® security screen doors that we’ve backed them by a comprehensive 16 year warranty.

As with all commercial warranties, your Amplimesh® security screen door or window screen must be cared for with regular cleaning and maintenance. Giving your screen a little love and attention every few months will not only maintain your warranty but will keep your screen looking great and performing at maximum efficiency.
